Srinisspace - Are we alone??

When we were kids, all of us should have done stargazing. Seeing the Moon, stars and the moving clouds of different shapes, we used to discuss so many things varying from space to aliens.

While aging, we are losing our imagination and don’t know when was the last time I stargazed and had fun like I had it in my childhood. But our education is giving us an opportunity to wide our gaze on universe which is amazing and give curiosity about it. This universe is very beautiful than what we can imagine and has so many hidden surprises.

There was a time when nothing found and a sudden explosion happened and our Universe was born some 13.8 billion years ago. From that day, it expands to our current state and still expanding. The galaxies were born when it started to expand. There are many Galaxy Filaments in the universe, which contains Super Clusters“. Super cluster consists of several Clusters and Cluster consists of several Galaxies. Again Galaxy contains several Stars and our Sun is one of the star which is the center of our Solar System.

The observable universe is actually a part of universe which can be theoretically reached by us if technology supports. But there are some part called un-observable universe which cannot be reached even if we travel in the speed of light, because the expansion of universe is much faster than the speed of light. So tracking the whole universe is even theoretically impossible.

When we take our solar system, each planet is having a different eco-system and it is really surprising to know some facts.

In mercury a day is longer than a year. Mercury takes 176 earth days to rotate itself but takes 88 earth days to rotate sun. So you can have 2 new years in a single day.

Venus is called sister planet to earth due to its similarities with Earth and can be seen visible from Earth after Moon.

Mars tiny traces were found on earth which were violently ejected from Mars and landed on Earth. So the study on Mars environment has been started even before the Mars missions. And Mars is the planet which is identified to have water in the form of ice.

Jupiter has 79 moons and It is believed that Jupiter & Saturn planets have rainfall of diamonds.

Saturn has 150 moons and one Saturn year is equal to 29.4 Earth years.

Uranus is the coldest planet in our solar system (-224 C) and called as ice giant.

Neptune is the most distant planet in our solar system and one year in Neptune is equal to 165 Earth years.

Pluto is now considered as a dwarf planet.

Apart from these, there are so many things in the universe includes dark matters, ordinary matters, dark energy, blackhole, wormhole and antimatters.

In this vast universe, Is it possible to find another earth like planet?

Our scientists are actually trying to explore the most part of the spaces beyond our solar system and there is a possibility of finding a planet in which living organisms can sustain.

But the important question is, our body is gradually adopted to survive in earth’s atmosphere for millions of years. If the new planet’s eco system differs from us will we be able to survive in the new environment?

We will try to find answers for these questions in another post. I am beginner in this astronomy and so feel free to post your suggestions and questions. Together we will learn !!!
