Chapter - 1: The Fate - The Fog

Chapter 1: The Fate

I. The  Fog

"There is a difference between luck and a miracle. People often confuse the two.

A miracle is a once-in-a-lifetime blessing sudden, divine. But Luck? Luck favors the prepared.

You have prepared for this moment, and you are born to be ready for it.

Don't wait for a Miracle, Seize the opportunity" says the coach to the students who were listening to the pep talk on one side of the ground.

This is one of the important day for the young lads who are there for a big game, listening to their football coach. Today, they are about to play with their eternal rivals. So everyone is geared up and full of energy. The match is about to begin in a few minutes.

When everyone is eager to watch the match, there is a boy in the crowd. With torn clothes and an awkward smile, people around him despise him. Even some from the back row shouted as "Hey loser, move around. We are not here to see your head. Just sit or get out. Its not your house you pathetic loser." and they started talking among themselves as "Who let this loser to this match. He belongs to the street and he should stick to it". Another boy, "Every group has one of those. What a buzzkill.".

The boy didn't care about these comments but humbly told them sorry and sat in the empty place. From his behavior it seems he was used to it.

He thought himself as a loser and not even an average. But streets made him a sharp one. Even in the crowd's whistles and loud talking, he got a glimpse of what the coach said, but he didn't understand. Because of constant derogatory, he even started to believe that he is below average, but something in his heart always rebelled against this thought. He suppressed it for a long time, but the glimpse of Coach's speech let the rebel inside get a peek at the outside world.

For the next 80 minutes, he didn't watch the football. His mind struggled between the rebel and the average mind. When the entire crowd cheered up, he was immersed in his inner game.

When his average mind tells him that it's just a pep talk to get the spirit of players up, his inside rebel tells him not to believe that. It insists him to believe in Coach's words or at least understand them before rejecting them.

His average mind lists all the reasons to reject, giving various examples in his neighborhood, from his so-called beliefs. But his rebel mind asked him to think differently. It constantly told him that everything happens for a reason. It asked him why he happened to hear that speech. By that speech's meaning, why can't it be his opportunity for something bigger?

His mind became a tug of war, torn between the rebel and the average mind. He can't concentrate on the match since his mind has become a foggy night in December, full of thoughts, with no clear solution. At last, he left the game with his foggy mind.

It's already late at night, but still his inner game hasn't settled down. He was unable to clear his mind, and the fog got thicker over time.

"If I can't come to a conclusion about what someone said, then it's better to check with that person. Yes, that's the only way to find things out," he thought, and he started to drift in the dream world.
