Chapter 1: The Fate

 II. The Rise Of Rebel

"When the student is ready, the teacher will  appear"

It is a quiet morning and the sun is still rising. Our boy wake up with a heavy head. Yes, his body slept last night but his mind kept awake in form of various dreams. So he decided to clear up his mind. He freshened up and went directly to the school, searching for the coach.

He entered the school and inquired about the football coach. He was pointed to the coach's private coaching place  where he would spend the mornings. he went to the coaching place and it was quite a big ground. Even in that morning time, so many kids and people got trained. he searched for the coach, found him in one corner of the ground and he approached him.

The coach(With a question in face): "Who are you? I never saw you here. Are you new or came to join?".

Boy: "No. I am not here to join for any coaching. I just have some questions and came here to ask you".

Coach (with a smile): "Oh. Boy.. That's called coaching. Don't you know?".

(Our boy didn't even grasped what he said).

Boy (with confusion): "I don't understand. I heard your talk yesterday and wanted to  clarify few things".

Coach: "What would you like to know?".

Boy: "You told the difference between luck and miracle. I wonder whether anyone can be lucky by prepared? Is it a privilege or just a warmup make outs you prepared for yesterday's match?"

Coach(smiled again): "Have you come all way just to ask these questions?".

Boy: "Yes.. Could you please answer?

Coach: "Why you want to the answers so badly?"

Boy: "To be frank, I had a strong urge to sit this one out as it was just a prep talk. But another part of mind had a curiosity to dig more into it. I had a gut feeling about the speech that it may help me3."

Coach: "If you have the patience to know about it, meet me after lunch. I am busy now."

And then he concentrated on his coaching for others. The boy said yes and left the field.

When it was Noon, coach returned to his office to take some rest and there he saw the boy standing. he inquired the staffs when he arrived and they told, he came in the morning and stood by there. When they asked he replied that he was waiting for the coach. Since the office was closed, they asked him to return once coach is back but he was adamant and been standing there.

Coach was annoyed but impressed at the same time. he called the boy to his office and asked him to sit.

Coach: "I asked you to come at noon post lunch. Why you have been standing here for all day?"

Boy: "I dono.. I have a confusion and by time goes, it is increasing. I fear missing your meeting if I come by late or you plan to have your food earlier."

Coach: "Whats you hurry?"

Boy: "Till yesterday, I had this feeling I am not destined to win and I am just a normal person like everyone around me. After hearing your speech, I feel like something woke up in my mind and telling me that I can change my fate. This feeling is quite struggling that my mind wants to know whether I can truly be a big guy. I am unable to resist finding the answers. So at cost I wanted to know"

Coach: "That's a big bold statement. What made you think you are so special?"

Boy: "I dono.. Part of my mind tells that everything happens for a reason. It tells me why Am I supposed hear your words? Why me not others had this dilemma?"

Coach(Now curious): "What makes you think that my random prep talk  is meant for you?"

Boy: "My grandpa used to tell me that if I am ready for something I will get signs. What if this is a sign for me?"

Coach: "Your grandpa seems to be a wise guy. Hear me clearly. Its the only free of advice I give to you. Everyone in this world is special. The irony is, most of the people don't know their specialty and so lost in the vast majority of averages. What I told about luck is true and if you want to feel lucky you have to be prepared. Understood?"

Boy: "So Am I also special? How can I be prepared? Can you tell me more?"

Coach: "No. My advices are not free boy. I gave you some, just to let you know that I am not a liar. If you want more you have to earn it. If something comes effortlessly, you wont know its worth"

Boy(In sad tone): "I don't have money to pay."

Coach: "Okay. How about this? I am need of a helper. You do that job and I coach you more"

Boy(Happily): "Sure.. What I have to do?"

Coach: "Come meet me at the field by tomorrow morning 6 AM."

Boy: "Sure. I will be there by 6"

Coach: "One more piece of advice.. Listen more to your rebel mind. Train it to find more opportunities. Let it argue with your average mind and see which one wins. This is an acknowledgement for your determination on waiting for me from morning. But don't repeat it, do only what I ask you to do."

Boy responded gladly: "Yes sir.. Thank you"

Once the boy left, a friend of the coach approached him and asked "Why you accepted this boy? He seems to be nothing. So many people in this town wants you to coach their kids. He cant repay and even more I doubt how much of a help he can give in your coaching".

coach asked him "Do you know the meaning of the proverb 'When the student is ready, the teacher will appear'?"

Friend: "Yes. Only when the disciple is ready the teacher will come and teach"

Coach: "There is another meaning to it".

Coach took a brief pause and let out a sigh thinking even his friend is not ready to learn things.

Coach: "Never mind. you wouldn't understand. Besides he reminds me of someone from my younger age."

Friend: "Do as you wish"

The coach moved on to his regular works after the lunch break and so his friend. In the foggy mind  of the boy, coach's advice became a glimpse of rays. Even though its not enough to remove all fog, it gave a little hope to his rebel mind. He didn't know anything about mind, but he got a confidence that through the glimpse of ray he can remove more fogs in coming days.
