We might have thanked God, our friends & family, and even some strangers. But have we ever thanked our belongings?

It may sound crazy and you may think “why in the earth I have to thank a non-living thing? Will it change anything?”

To answer your question directly, YES!! IT WILL!!

In my childhood, I have read an article about thanking everything including living and non-living things. In that article, the author told to thank everything. He also believed that even the non-living things are part of this vast universe and the gratefulness shown will be returned in many ways. I had a strange feeling about that since it dealt with universe laws. No one better knows about it 🙂

Recently I saw a video about Arigato Money and it was quite interesting. Arigato is the Japanese word for ‘Thank you very much’. When I searched more, I found the same laws of gratefulness towards Money. Before diving it to Arigato Money, let's see how thanking actually affects an individual.

GRATEFULNESS

Some people believe that even non-living things will return a favor if we have an attachment towards them. Some people may think that’s stupid. Either it is true or not, But psychologically, gratefulness towards something or someone will have a positive impact on individuals and that positiveness built around us will lead us to a better life. As per some psychological studies, people with gratitude have personal growth, a higher level of control over their environment, and well-defined purpose in their life.

Everything that comes in our life will surely go and if we are grateful in all situation it will help us to balance our emotions. This positive approach helps us to stay positive in difficult situations.

Arigato Money

This Arigato Money approach believes that gratefulness towards money will erase a scarcity mindset and establish a good relationship with money.

In the Arigato Money approach, it is believed that thanking the money when we receive and spend will keep its flow around us. Whatever goes with gratitude will come to us again. If you thank the Money when you receive, its Arigato In and If you thank when we spend, its Arigato Out.

Ken Honda introduced Arigato Money through his book ” Happy Money Book “. He got his thoughts from the Millionaire Takeda Wahei who is known as the “Warren Buffett of Japan”. Most practitioners believe that the money circulation around them has increased significantly after start thanking the Money. Either it is true or not, but the thought of having satisfaction around our money circulation will have a significant effect on our happiness level and it will also lead to a healthy life.

Let's start thanking not only our Money but Everything & Everyone and have a positive effect on our lives!!!

Whenever we face a failure or having a setback, we might have heard these line "Failure is the first step of Success".

We all accept at one point that huge success always follows the greatest failures. But is that statement "Failure is the first step of success" is true?

If it is true, then why all failures are not turned into success? So many people failed but only few succeed. Why?

After some thought, I slightly to differ from this statement. The root of this phrase is, success comes with experience and we gain experience from the failures. So people tend to think that failure is the base.

But actual first step of success is not failure, but a try. There are so many people out there, won't even try something new. They will simply lead a life of an average. Even in that average life style, they fear to try something new.

Few people, believe they can achieve something and come out of their comfort zone and try. When they try, they fail. Some people retrospect their effort, change the approach, and achieve.

In this basic formula of success, if we see in depth, the first step in success is 'believing in themselves and try to succeed'. Before winning or losing, the participation in the competition comes first. Without the participation, we will be cheering for others and watching the game.

One may have potential, skills or hardwork. But to succeed one should have confidence. Without confidence, we won’t even try. So failure is an important step in the process of success but the first step is trying.

Every one knows the famous scientist Edison. He invented so many things and owned so many patents. Everyone admires him as an icon to follow and succeed. We are not going to discuss about his success story.

Edison was at his peak of fame. There were so many who were interested to become his partner. Many dreamt about it. Even with lot of money and skills, they were not able to become his partner.

One fine day a guy named Barnes arrived at Edison’s office. He was poor and didn't have any specific skills. He wanted to meet Edison and become a partner. Yes.. His statements were direct and confident.

Edison looked at him and offered him a job as a sweeper in his office. Easiest choice for Barnes was to gave up. Instead, he accepted the offer and waited for his turn.

His patience finally paid off. Edison invented a machine called Ediphone in which, his sales representatives didn't have interest. But Barnes saw his potential growth in that machine and made it as a big hit in sales. His plans and management skills helped him to sell it and he became a multimillionaire in a young age. With all those accumulated money and Edison’s trust, he became Edison’s partner after two years.

Many would have dreamt, but he tried. He failed literally for two years, but the first step of his success started when he asked Edison about the partnership.

You might have dreamt about starting a business, following your passion or doing something you want. You might have afraid of what happens if it fails or what others think if you fail. But the first step of success is trying. Until you try, you don’t know what will happen. If it succeeds you will be happy. If it fails, at-least you will be satisfied that you gave it a try and you will try harder next time.

Always Success starts with a simple try.

"Try and fail but never fail to try" - Jared Leto

Everyone of us having problems in our life. Everyone thinks that their life alone full of problems and as a result we are occupied by pressure, jealousy, stress and a lot of negative thoughts.

But is it true that we are alone having problems? Certainly NOT. Everyone has their own problems.

Then how some people are always happy but others are not? What is the reason? Are they blessed?

Yes, they are blessed in a way that they took everything as a sign of opportunity. But how a problem become an opportunity? If you have right attitude, you will see opportunity in a problem. But if you have opposite, you will see problems in every opportunity before you.

People who believe and practice positive attitude, are much happier than others. They feel light and see good in everything. These kind of people tend to lead a Happy Life and can motivate others.

There is a small story of Farmer, how perception can change your life. Lets see,

The Farmer and The Saint:

There is an interesting story about a farmer, which explains what is happiness.

The Farmer:

There was a farmer in a village who always worried about his household. He had a big family with 10 members and all of them lived in a simple hut.

The Saint:

To that very same village, a Saint came. For a few days, He stayed under a big banyan tree. People from and around the village came to see him and get his blessings. Our farmer also went to seek blessings from the saint. The saint asked the farmer to come near and asked about his wellness.

The farmer explained his difficulties in his household and asked his blessings. The Saint thought asked the farmer to tie his sheeps inside his hut for a month and promised to return after a month to see the farmer again.

The farmer did the same for a month and since his hut was so small it just increased the difficulties he had. But he was keen on following Saint's order and waiting for Saint's return to the village.

After a month the Saint returned and the farmer went to meet him again. Saint asked him how he was and he replied that he was having a very difficult time and all his family members are unhappy now. The saint asked him to tie the sheeps out of the hut today and come and see him again tomorrow.

That night the farmer tied the sheep as asked by Saint. Suddenly the farmer's family found so much space in their hut and they slept well after a long time. Early morning farmer went to the saint with a happy face and told him that they slept well after a month. He also asked him what magic saint did.

With a smile, the saint explained to him, the reason for the happiness of his family is not because of any magic, because of the mindset.

Moral:

Happiness is the state of mind. Worrying and Complaining is not going to help, instead sow the seed of negativity in our mind. We cultivate what we sow. Instead of Worrying, be grateful for what we have and trying achieve what we want is a formula for success.

There is a concept of Maro-Up by Wahei Takeda, which means true heart. It suggests that purifying our heart and filling it with positive thoughts and gratitude, attracts abundance of success and wealth.

So Be Positive and Lead a Happy Life, Success will find its way to you.

Be Thankful and Happy Always !!!

A Life Lesson is something we learn once but useful throughout our lives. Some lessons come through various experience and some of them really come with a price.

Do we always have to pay a hefty price for these lessons? For most of them, No. Because you may not have enough time and strength to make all of those mistakes. That is the reason people pass their experience and knowledge to the next generation through stories and books.

One need not to suffer to gain experience if he/she is smart enough to learn from other's mistakes. But we are often too blind to learn even from our mistakes.

So from today onwards, lets take some time to learn from others experiences. And lets directly go to one of that lessons.

Three Fishes And Their Fate:

There were three fishes in a pond and they were friends. They lived in that pond for a long time. Their name were Wise, Reactive and Lazy.

Three fishes story in srinisspace

Three Fishes:

Wise is really wise and used to make decisions and not afraid of changes. Reactive is okay to change but if it is only forced. Lazy reacts slow, never adapt and often accept whatever happens as fate.

The Fate:

One day, some fishermen came to the pond and became happy when seeing so many fishes in the pond. They planned to catch the fishes from the pond the next day. Wise always watch for the environment. It hope for the best but always prepare for the worst. It already had a backup plan if something went wrong. So it predicted the outcome and approached the other two with its plan. It proposed to escape from that pond and go to the nearest water surface even-though they are not sure how much they can adapt.

Reactive thought Wise is overreacting and it will do something if something happens and Lazy, not at all interested in leaving the pond. So the Wise escaped from the pond through a channel and the new place was difficult to adjust but had a lot of resources.

The next day, the fishermen came and started to capture the fishes. On seeing this, the Reactive approached the Lazy and asked Lazy to come with it. Lazy refused, saying pond is their house, nothing would happen to them and there was no life for them outside of the pond. But, after a lot of struggle, the Reactive escaped from the pond. It was also happy, atleast it took a right decision at a right time.

The Lazy, believing that nothing bad would happen, stayed in the pond and got captured by the fishermen.

Moral:

The pond is our Comfort Zone. People who stuck in their comfort zone for a long time, will eventually end up like Lazy. But who predict and escape from their comfort zone even before something worse happens, become leaders and very successful people. They tap their potential at early and set their footprint on whatever the field they are on.  People who atleast try to leave their comfort zone when they start to face the issues, will end up in middle of those two. They are ordinary but surviving majority.

In which layer do you want to fit yourself? Are you going to lead? or are you going to be average? or gonna stuck in the same pond for the rest of your life?

The decision is yours and only you are responsible for your decision. Get out of Comfort Zone, Embrace the change and see a new world.
